You are a demon working in the Souls Accounting Department, reviewing the work of other demons for Soul Placement in hell. You work with "The Book of Sins" to weigh the souls on your scale and determine their correct placement.

Demon Auditor was made for GMTK Game Jam 2024. The theme was "Build to Scale" and I wanted to go literal with a scale that judges souls.

This was my first game jam. I was running out of time but I still wanted to complete something so I hope you can see the vision behind the jank. All feedback is welcomed!

wasn't too sure about how I knew what the right choices were, since there wasn't too much feedback, I went with the numbers on the book rather than the scale balance itself. the idea and atmosphere is really good, i would love full proper game like this about sentencing souls to the right location, papers please style, where you have to cross reference a bunch of info to get to the right verdicts.

Thank you for the feedback! Paper's Please was an inspiration but I didn't have enough time and ability to add a bunch more references for people to look up for giving a verdict however if I comeback to this idea after the game jam that is definitely a direction I want to go in.
